Growing up as an only child, I always said that I wanted to be just like my mom when I grew up. She was a wonderful mother and a wonderful wife. She cooked, cleaned, loved, and did everything for me. She would go without personal items so that I could have the simplest thing that I wanted. I knew that when I got older, I wanted to be a mother, wife, and woman just like she was.
There are many footprints that have walked across my life. There are some that hurt with the stiletto heel poking me heart, and there have been some that danced over my heart only to leave scuff marks where they danced. But I have a have a few footprints that have gentle made a mark that will be forever be placed on my heart.
My grandmother had a picture with the poem “Footprints in the Sand” attached to it. I would read it every night before I went to sleep. No one wants to be alone. It is always nice to have someone there with you, much more carrying you. So my question to you today is, have you left a footprint on someone’s heart? It is easy to bring other people down just to elevate ourselves, but it is time to gentle steps and leave a mark that will never be forgotten!
