We thought that Christmas was only in December, but boy, we were wrong. This past April Sunday, I played Santa.
I was already excited to give the kids “The Box.” I didn’t tell them what it was, I just set it on the table. Kids can never focus when they see something new in the room. So, I proceeded to let one of the kids open “The Box.” As she opened the box, she yelled, “It’s red. That’s my favorite color!” “The Box” was now open and everyone was yelling and screaming.
It made my day to see them soooooo happy about the Wii. This is the start of something fun and healthy. We are taking GFN playground to the next level, to keep the kids in the community moving!
We know that thank you is not enough, but we honestly thank you from the bottom of our “soon to be healthier” hearts!
My goal is to get these kids moving and teach them that they have to stay active while having fun. We can tell them they need to go run to stay healthy, but we want to show/teach them they can have fun while playing a game or even beating a friend!
