Admit it, the PlayStation 2 era had a lot of good games. Even if you currently own a Xbox you have to at least give PlayStation that. So many games could have been great titles this gen but I guest the powers that be didn’t feel the same way most Gamers do. Great title’s such as Bloody Roars, Zone of The Enderz, Legacy of Kain, Onimusha, Okami, Bully, Kingdom Hearts, Time Splitters ETC… have been lost in the transition of previous gen vs next gen.  I can gone on for days names titles that should be in todays market. I’m not talking about an HD remix, I’m talking brand new games with the same style and appeal with PlayStation 3 graphic’s. I’m I the only one who feels this way?

Great article/video!, all of these games NEED to be rebooted- they had some of the most creative gameplay elements of last gen, Def Jam is also a game that i love; but Icon was an utter disappointment- the original oomph had been stripped away and all that was left was the legacy.

there a lot of other niches in the market, but Def Jam is worth a proper sequel on PS3

I’m glad to see people who like a good game.

Not just Def Jam FfNY, but the PSP prequel Takeover. It added new fight mechanics like the ground beatdowns and dirty moves like throwing sand in faces. A new Def Jam game only needed 4 things: 1) HD graphics and better music, 2) expanded roster (imagine Kanye, Jay-Z, Eminem, YMCMB, Diplomats, Rick Ross, Wiz Kalifa, etc; mind = blown), 3) more match types and locations (loved the burning building and subway train matches), and finally 4) online play. But sadly, Kudo’s nonsensical logic sent the series to the grave.

A new Freedom Fighters would also be amazing. They can’t just leave us hanging with that ending. It ain’t fair…
