The end of summer is almost upon us. However, just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean that your workouts have to end also. Here are some things that you do at home, that will help you lose weight or tone up to reach your health goals. Here are the 4 exercises that you can use to keep in shape after the summer is over and keep that beach body you worked so hard for.
1. Jump rope
Remember this little toy when you were a kid? Well, who would of thought something you played with as a child with provide such amazing health benefits to keep you fit. If you can incorporate probably about 10 to 15 minutes of jump roping it can build up a rather rigorous sweat. It helps to perform the anaerobic exercise you need as well as keeping off the pounds. You will use a good portion of your muscles because you are jumping up and down.
2. Wii fit
Those of you that play Wii fit will know that after a certain amount of jogging mini games, you can unlock the option to play free run in the game. Now typically, you could do this without the game and just run in place within the pleasure of your own home, but where is the fun in that!? This is great for cardiovascular exercise. I would personally suggest anywhere from 10 to 15 mins, as it can greatly benefit your heart, which also helps blood flow.
3. Jumping jacks
Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack jumps with GFN, Jack got healthy quick. Yea, that’s right those silly little jumping exercises that you used to do in gym class. Whether you care to admit it or not, those are actually very good exercises to do for cardio. Whether its rainy, cold, or you are just plain lazy to go out for a jog. Jumping Jacks require you to have your whole body in motion and its great. This can help the blood flow through your body and heart much easier.
4. High Knees
This exercise can be done in any home or gym if you really wanted to. All this requires of you is to run in place all the while raising your knees above your waist. This is a very good indoor cardio workout and it can tire you out rather quickly. I’ve done this exercise myself and I have to say it is very good in building up a quick sweat, if you keep up the pace you are going. There are a ton of other cardio exercises that you can do at home. What do you think you will try when the summer finishes?
Special Note: Please make sure there is enough room between you, furniture and other people as you may cause injury to others around you. The amount of calories you lose depends on the intensity and time you spend on each workout. Be sure to remember that!
