Do you feel Arkham City Should have been Game of The Year?

After a little reflection and interview examination a small feeling still lingered with me. This feeling is something I feel a lot of people felt at the VGA’s and at home. This feeling was that Arkham City really should be Game of the Year. Don’t get me wrong Skyrim is truly desiring of it’s win but still, if you were there at Sony Studio’s you felt a sense that Arkham City was going to win. Even in a Interview with Naughty Dog during the VGA’s for the 1st time ever I saw doubt in their eye’s when it came to winning. Same with the Skyrim team though these guys where happy they won, they didn’t think they were going to win. I had the pleasure of sitting with RockSteady during the show and for them it was like a celebration of success. Though everyone was in a good mode these guys were truly happy to be there. There was one point where RockSteady spokes person Dax was so excited that when I was standing in the way of him getting to his sit he joking crawled between my legs which by the way it was pretty awesome. My point is that I would like to see if you guys had the same feeling as we did.

So I ask you all now, do you feel Arkham City Should have won Game of the Year?

Awesome interview! Arkham City should have won game of the year no doubt. A Superman game would be awesome if Naughty Dog did it!

  Yes, i think it should have.Skyrim is great,but i got the ps3 version and after 95 hours it starts lagging hard. Even without the issues,BAC has made a bigger leap of change from it’s predecessor imo.Skyrim is an super falout3/oblivion,with better combat.It looks very nice for such a large game,except for some of the chrs faces.BAC deserves this! It was short tho

    I have, it’s decent. But comparing Skyrim to Arkham is like comparing a Lamborghini to a scooter (GTA’s Faggio to be exact.) or like comparing Battlefield 3 to Modern Remake 3, or Jesus to that homeless guy which lives in your alley whom resembles jesus.. slightly.

Nope, I don’t think it should’ve been. Most of the real bad guys didn’t had a real purpose in the game and most of the time not even a bossfight but just a simple short cinematic in which Batman hardly does anything to finish them. Bane’s ending cinematic for example. This guy is so stupid that he locks himself up, I mean wtf…

  Ah ha! was Bane that stupid? or was Batman that smart! Think about it! lol. Seriously I kinda get what you’re pointing at but I feel like the game was flawless.

I would defiantly say that it should be runner up. It’s an amazing game, deserving of high praise but I would say that Skyrim deserved the win here.

Arkham City is definitely my game of the year, it’s by far the best action adventure game i’ve ever played. Skyrim is good, well even great but i don’t think Bethesda dropped a bomb shell and worked their ass hard like Rocksteady did, those guys for me deserve all the credit i can’t wait for the next batman gotham city ” yes gotham city if you recognized all the hints in Arkham City you’ll definitely know where they’re taking batman next.

Arkham City almost won game of the year, but instead it took an arrow to the knee. (Skyrim ftw you fuckin’ sad Batman fans, btw DC fucking sucks, pick up an X-Men comic and grow some balls lol)

Yes, for me Batman is the real GOTY.

Skyrim is very cool, but I’m really pissed off about PS3 version. And I still don’t know why Bethesda also won as the studio of the year. A studio that makes lagged versions of games? I want my money back!

Luckily the VGAs are completely insignificant and meaningless, or else there would be a reason to care at all who won awards there.
