OnLive has announced something pretty spectacular. It seems like OnLive is finally bringing console gaming to smartphones and tablets via their new OnLive app available free for download starting today. Before, people have been limited to playing their console games on an actual console or a PC. But with the new OnLive app, gamers will be able to play their favorite games on demand from their smartphones or tablets using a Wi-Fi or mobile network connection across the United States and the UK.
The growing library now features about 25 top notch console games that are being adapted for touchscreen capabilities like L.A. Noire and Lego Harry Potter. All of the 200 plus games available, including Batman Arkham City, L.A. Noire and Assassins Creed Revelations, are playable with the new OnLive universal wireless controller. This new controller will be able to connect wirelessly with most smartphones and tablet devices. The OnLive controller will be available soon for purchase in the US for $49.99.

Now people can have the latest and greatest games to play literally at they’re finger tips. Whether your on your TV, PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet, all the games that you have purchased will be available on your OnLive cloud saved data. This can allow you to keep playing your game, not only in one place, but now separately on different devices. Aside from Wi-Fi, On Live is also 4G LTE compatible, meaning you can literally play anywhere you go.

The OnLive app is available for download on iOS and Android powered devices today with the On Live controller being released in the near future.
