If you are anything like me, I have a Germ-x in my car, purse, and on my desk. Germs are everywhere! If you think about it too much, it will hinder you from doing anything.
The local news did a story about germs on the ATM machine. It made me cringe, but it won’t stop me from getting money out the ATM. Now I just don’t touch my face or eat after doing certain things.
Your kids will be kids. They want to play in the dirt and the sandbox. They are going to get water after coming in from the playground at school. They are going to play sports in PE, and changed clothes in the locker room. They are going to touch every rail at the mall. They might even lick someone’s blow pop or drink out of someone else’s cup. They are going to play with every pet in the house and in the neighbors yard. It is what kids do.
As parents, you have to keep the soap, hand sanitizer, and Lysol around. Teach your kids to wash theirs hands. I will never forget the day I took one of my kids to the restroom and all I heard was “Twinkle Twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.” I asked her why was she singing and she said, “I had to wash my hands.” She may have been singing extra loud, but she remembered to wash her hands, and wash them good.
Remind them to wash their hands after sneezing, playing outside, using the restroom, touching food, etc. Scrub their hands for at least twenty seconds. I’m a lover of Clorox. I will spray the toys and tables to keep them germ free. It’s those little steps that you can take to keep your kids healthy.
Have a wonderful weekend Gamers.
