Yesterday, PlayStation has been rumored to have held on March 31st, at a secret media briefing held in Manhattan, New York City, that Zone of the Enders 3 would be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3. As you may already know the Zone of the Enders Collection was announced for both the PSVita, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Well, after a special visit from Konami’s Legendary developer Hideo Kojima who stunned viewers with a trailer of Zone of Enders. It was announced that ZOE3 will be coming to the PS3 exclusively. We were then told that the trailer will be available later this week, so here’s hoping we get it sooner. In the meanwhile here are some of the key features that were announced at the meeting listed below.
Drop in, Drop out Co-op gameplay
New Multiplayer component featuring orbital frame air battles
Complete graphic redesign using the Fox Engine
3D compatible
Leo Stenbuck and Dingo Egret will both be in the title and may be playable at some point. (No decision yet)
New Protagonist (No name or description yet)
It honestly makes sense that this was announced. Since, we all know that Kojima has teased at some point another ZOE title in the future. He even stated to our very own Blackbible that he wants to make the game, as you can witness in this interview posted below. So it should come to no surprise that this was announced. Although, questions were asked about potentially bringing this title to the PlayStation Vita, it was stated that it would depend on sales of the HD Collection for the Vita. They also stated that with the Vita they would love the ability to use the near application and cross-platform play to link up PS3 and Vita Players on the network. Near functionality would be used to unlock special items for orbital frames or to gain exp for linking up. Alas, this is all hypothetical and nothing is concrete. We will know more as April 1st, 2013 is only a year away! Until then enjoy the interview with BlackBible and Hideo Kojima below.
