If you haven’t already heard Konami announced that Castlevania Lords of Shadows 2 will be releasing sometime in 2013. Until then however, Konami has graciously given us screens to wet our bloodthirsty appetites.

“In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the origin of Dracula and his legendary connection with the Belmonts was revealed. In Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, fans can expect thrilling new twists and challenges. In the shocking conclusion to the Lords of Shadow saga, Dracula returns once again, weakened and yearning for release from his immortal bonds. Facing a new and powerful threat, the vampire lord must reacquire his old powers, and only his castle holds the key.”  I have a theory about this excerpt from the press release however. In the trailer we see a vampire who apparently looks like Gabriel attacking and killing humans. My thought is that it could be Gabriel who becomes Dracula thus making the connection to the Belmonts. This is purely speculation of course and we won’t find out more until E3. Enjoy the screens posted below for your viewing pleasure.
