When I started out this article I was originally going to just post the game features and accompany it with the trailer and then publish it for you all to read. However, E3 info doesn’t quite allow our jobs to be that easy. After watching the trailer and reading a little bit more into the game. I was deeply taken by the route that MercurySteam has taken with this game. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate is going to be a 3DS must own title. Why you might ask? There is only one reason why and that is the story. Lords of Shadow started a brilliant arc with Gabriel Belmont and his quest to save his wife in the reboot title of the famed Castlevania franchise. Now, that we have this 3DS title which is a prequel to the events in the upcoming sequel to the PS3/Xbox 360 title we now play as our hero Trevor Belmont going to take on his ancestor Dracula in this epic handheld battle.
Here is the main reason why I am excited for the game. If you watch the extended trailer at the end you will see images of what appears to be Alucard. Alucard is a fan favorite of the franchise and a character that many people enjoy seeing in the game. Thats because the story of this prequel to the second game has really taken me by storm. The stage is being set within this title to what im hoping is going to be a great sequel in Lords of Shadow 2. If I am right and I hoping I am right, than this game will take place with us playing the game as both Trevor and Simon Belmont as they will be trying to defeat Dracula/Gabriel. What has really surprised me and has taken me by storm with Castlevania is the way MercurySteam has planned the story out. If I am correct in the way my thoughts are processing at the moment this 3DS title will lead us to the battle between Dracula and Alucard in Lords of Shadow 2 or so I’m hoping.
Here are some of the features of the game:
The game is set to release fall 2013 and if this trailer does not make you giddy with absolute excitement than I suggest that you might already be dead.
