NHL 13 promises to be just as innovating as NHL 07 was when they first introduced the Skill Stick feature. So what is EA Sports introducing to their NHL franchise? All-new True Performance Skating and an all new A.I. system that’s been dubbed EA Sports Hockey I.Q. NHL 13 intends on bringing hockey fans closer to the true natural speed of the sport, and the freedom to be creative and strategic like the real players. GM Connected and NHL Moments Live modes will bring fans closer to their friends and the world of hockey.

True Performance Skating
Over 1000 animations have been added to NHL so that the skating physics could be a realistic as possible. True Performance Skating will show everything from a player’s momentum to their fast paced maneuvering motions through the ice. Skill Stick and True Performance Skating combined will give gamers the chance to expand what they can do and use their creativity to put the puck past the goalie.

EA Sports Hockey IQ
Now all players will be fully aware of anyone on the ice, not just the player with the puck, making them quicker and smarter to react as the real NHL players would.

GM Connect
Fantasy hockey could’ve get any better! This mode lets gamers play with and against friends. GM Connected also allows players to manage, play, or coach! Gamers can also take their experience wherever they go using a mobile companion app. so you never miss a thing.

NHL Moments Live
This feature gives fans the chance to rewrite or relive NHL history. Each scenario is introduced using real-world NHL footage to bring fans closer to the game. The disc will feature moments from the 2011-12 NHL season, newer moments from the 2012-13 NHL season will be added throughout the season.

Fans can also expect updates on some of the game’s older features.

-Team First Presentation, the feature that lets fans customize their NHL experience based on their favorite team.

- Customizable EA Sports Hockey IQ will allow gamers to create and record their own player and strategies further than ever before.

- Improvements will be made on Ultimate Team, Be a Pro, and EA Sports Hockey League.
