ShowStoppers Stopped the Show at E3 2012

While at E3, we got the chance to attend an exclusive E3 event for a ton of gaming and tech companies by ShowStoppers. The event started out with a WeMade Press Conference, which highlighted a ton of high quality mobile games that would be available for the iOS, and android operating system later this year. There were a ton of games shown and many of which I have to say, actually have some potential for becoming best sellers on their respective platforms.  At the WeMade press conference, it was announced that these eight games would be making their way onto mobile gaming devices in the near future. The list is as followed.

  • Project Dragon: The Roar from the Dragon
  • Chaos and Defense
  • Viking Island
  • Pet Island
  • Hero Square
  • Friend Fighter (Tentative Name)
  • Goblin Mobile
  • Rhythm Scandal

The personal favorites that I liked while at the event were Friend Fighter and Project Dragon. Those two titles alone have the potential to become huge sellers for the platform. Friend Fighter is an arcade fight game for the iOS and Android operating system that will allow you to play in a multiplayer based combat system and features skill-based continuous combo attacks. The game will also allow you to track your character’s level, which allows you to unlock more skills for your character and as you level up you will unlock more playable and enjoyable characters. The game will feature two game modes battle and care. Battle is a Player Vs Player mode and care is a step into the arena battle mode with just friends. The game was great for the hands on that I had played and it looks very promising. If you are looking for a release date, all I can tell you is TBD, as a date has not been given at this current time.

The second title that caught my eye was Project Dragon: The Roar from the Dungeon this title is a MMORPG for mobile devices. It is not the cheesy kind that you would think you would see on a mobile device, but rather one that puts that WOW experience in the palm of your hands. There were some pretty interesting facts that were announced about the game. The game will feature up to 5,000 concurrent players’ per-server, its features some pretty high quality graphics some of which I have not seen on a mobile device before. The game will also have four classes of characters ranging from weapon master, sage, magician, and assassin. There is going to be some sort of guild system although it was not talked about in much depth. The final thing that I should mention is that the game will feature some skill tree based progression as well as character customization, and a swanky pet system. Pretty much that is all I got the chance to see while I was at the WeMade Press Conference.

As we got the chance to walk around the show floor and mingle with a few of the companies there we got to meet a few new and interesting people and we also got the chance to see new products such as the new AverMedia Game Capture HD and the Game Capture HD from Elgato Systems. (Weird products both have the same names) These two are both products that may give the Hauppauge Gaming Edition a run for its money. These were not the only things that were shown during the event. There were also products from Samsung, MOCA Alliance, Maximum Games , HP and many more. They all displayed high end and exclusive new products and my personal favorites was the Samsung SSD Ghost Recon Future Soldier promotion that is available to gamers. We will have much more on that later as we have an Interview on the SSD that was shown at the event. All and all this was a pretty interesting and fun event. The products were hot, the people were very cool and event was fun. This event had something for techies and gamers alike. Check out all of the pictures posted below from the event and stay tuned, as we will have more from this later on in the week!
