A recent post on PlayStation.Blog was an announcement for the release of the first game trailer of the highly anticipated Killzone Mercenary at Gamescom. (Watch the trailer here.) Killzone: Mercenary is a first-person shooter game designed specifically for PlayStation Vita. The game makes full use of the device’s graphical and input capabilities. According to the post, the game was built on the same engine as Killzone 3, and it enhances the twin-stick FPS control scheme with touch functionality.
Killzone: Mercenary takes the player into the heart of the conflict between ISA and Helghast. For the first time in the Killzone campaign, gamers will be fight with both sides, completing missions that other soldiers can’t or won’t do.
As a mercenary, you (the player) will decide what you need to complete your missions; you’re employer will pay you with cash and weapons so long as you “get the job done.” Will be able to discover what the price of freedom is before it’s too late?
Killzone: Mercenary is due out in 2013.
