Easy Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

Coming from a Latin family, making white rice is a staple. It’s a dish we tend to make almost everyday. Consequently, getting stuck with leftovers is to be expected,. The recipe for this Chinese fried rice is very easy to prepare, fast and reliable. All you need is white rice, which solves the whole leftover situation, one egg, some broccoli, one to two slices of ham and 1 Tbsp. of reduced sodium soy sauce. If you’re not a rice lover, you can substitute for noodles or pasta. Here is a Chinese Fried Rice Recipe!

The ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Cooked White Rice
  • ½ cup Chopped Broccoli
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Slices of Ham, Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • Cooking Spray

Preparation:

  1. Pre-heat skillet to medium high and coat the surface with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, use a whisk to beat the egg then toss it in the skillet and scramble it.
  3. Add chopped broccoli and ham to the skillet with the scrambled egg and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Finally, add the rice and the soy sauce and sauté until the soy sauce covers all the ingredients.
  5. Let stand for a few minutes, plate and serve.
