Madden NFL 13 sold over 900,000 in 24hrs!?

Looks like the legendary John Madden is still breaking records.  EA announced that the newest installment in the Madden NFL franchise sold over 900,000 units in its first day.  While that may not be a huge deal for other franchises (Diablo III sold 3.5 million on its first day).  The team at EA is very please with the headline — Madden NFL 13 sold over 900,000 in 24hrs —  This marks the games best launch during this console generation, and a 7% increase from last years game.  EA also noted that since launch it’s received a ridiculous amount of attention on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, claiming that it “has been mentioned, on average, every six seconds on Twitter.”  The people are definitely talking, and I’m sure EA hopes to keep up the momentum as we head into the holiday season where the numbers can only get better.  Check out the Gamer Fit Nation review here!
