In the western part of Europe, a continent where a 25.5% of the population are gamers, we can find Spain, a small Mediterranean country where a total of 24% of the people consider themselves gamers. Apart from this, Spain is considered the 4th power in video games consumption, having spent a total of 822 million of euros the last 2012 and thought to have a 20% more sales by the end of this 2013. That is why it is kind of difficult to decide which video game has been the most popular and played one over the years. The consumption has been very big, so the majority of the new titles have had their minute of glory within the Spanish gamers’ hearts.
Everything depends on the month we are analyzing. In previous articles, I have talked about Spain as the country where so many gamers buy soccer titles. But I have to say that these titles are not sold in the same way along the year.
What happens with these soccer titles, so famous between the youngest gamers?
They reach the highest positions of the most sold in September, October and November, when the National League begins. FIFA 13 was situated in the first 3 positions of the ranking from September to February, the rest of the months the sales drop until 2013’s Fall arrived again with FIFA 14.
On the other hand, March is considered a transitional month where titles like Tom Raider, God of War: Ascension, both for PS3, and Gear of War – Judgement for Xbox 360, hit the 2013’s sales in Spain.
But spring came, and everything changed again. The weather got warmer and the new titles sales started to bloom. Games like Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon – Gates to Infinity for Nintendo 3DS, or Call of Duty: Black Ops II for PS3 reached the first two positions of the ranking, leaving God of War in third place.
When spring was over, summer began and the youngest gamers of the family started up their holidays, which made children games rose in sales as ever. During the summer of 2013, the Nintendo 3DS title, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, has been most sold and played one in Spain.
To summarize all of this, it is necessary to have a look at the last months of the year where, of course, soccer titles have reached the top of the rankings, sharing the triumph with the successful GTA V for PS3 and Xbox 360.
So, what do you guys think? Which of these titles is the one you have played most? Let GamerFitNation know.
