Recently, GamerFitNation was able to take part in the SuperBowl XLVIII festivities. GFN’s very own Tamika Moultrie was able to interview NBA and New York Knick Alumni John Starks. Starks who retired from the NBA averaging 12.5 pts, 2.5 reb, and 3.6 assists was at the event to show support for games and spread the initiative of fellow celebrity athlete Hank Baskett. The event which was sponsored by Gaems was meant to raise money for The Griffin Gives Foundation. At the event attendees were treated to multiplayer gaming sessions, online competitions, as well as opportunities to play against real gaming pros. Games that were there included the following Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Need for Speed, and Fifa 14.
John Starks who is notorious for his dunk on Michael Jordon was on deck to talk about gaming and how far video games have come since the day of Atari. He also weighed in on the state of NY sports and gave his thoughts on the Brooklyn Nets. When asked the question of who he would like to rematch if given the chance, he responded that his airness Michael Jordan needs to rematch him. Check out the video posted below and see what Starks has to say. Enjoy!
