Square-Enix announced today that it will be releasing Murdered: Soul Suspect, its upcoming supernatural detective thriller, on June 3 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
The game begins with the murder of the main character, Detective Ronan O’Connor. The player then takes over his ghost and must solve the mystery of his killing using a combination of traditional detective skills and otherworldly powers. All the while players must fight off demonic creatures that wish to steal O’Connor’s soul. On top of that, the game takes place in Salem, Massachusetts, the location of the brutal Salem Witch Trials of 1692 that saw the death of a number of young women accused of witchcraft. O’Connor will cross paths with many of their ghosts as he struggles to find the truth behind his own murder.
Murdered: Soul Suspect was developed by Airtight Games, known previously for titles such as Dark Void and Quantum Conundrum. Check out the official trailer below.
