An Injustice: Gods Among Us sequel is coming in 2017.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Sequel Timeline Confirmed at E3 2014

Ed Boon confirmed at E3 2014 that an Injustice: Gods Among Us sequel is slated for release around 2017.

Hector Sanchez, producer of the original Injustice: Gods Among Us, also confirmed the timeline for the sequel.

Boon, the director of the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game, told GamerFitnation at E3 2014 that the Injustice: Gods Among Us sequel will release around the time that the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book series finishes. The Injustice: Gods Among Us comic book plans to run for five years. The comic series is currently in its second year.

The Injustice: Gods Among Us sequel will be tied to the conclusion of the comic series.

Boon is also known as director of the Mortal Kombat series. Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release in 2015.

Injustice: Gods Among Us originally released in April 2013.
