Pre-E3 2015 were full of leaks the week before and one that stood out very early was Destiny The Taken King. The latest release DLC, House of Wolves, received approval from the community to keep the journey of the Guardians alive, especially after backlash for lack of content from the first DLC, The Dark Below. Bungie has listened to their fans, creating their biggest expansion (coming this fall) to defeat the Hive’s King, Oryx.
Guardians receive new subclass damage abilities to defeat Oryx.
In order to take take on the bitter King who is vexed over your Guardians for killing his son, Crota, over a million times in the raid, new powers are needed to make his defeat epic. Each Guardian will acquire new subclasses—The Hunter (Nightstalker) void bow, Titan (Sunbreaker) burn hammer, and the Warlock (Stormcaller) arc energy. In addition to some new cool powers, players will experience a new raid, storyline, public events, weapons, and more.
GamerFitnation had the honor to chat and goof around with Bungie’s Luke Timmins, lead design engineer, to chat how Oryx wrath to avenge his son’s death put him in line as father of the year. We also discussed the new storyline, and which guardian class will out do the rest in crucible. Get a chance to get in on all the info in the interview above.
Destiny The Taken King is set to release this September 15th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 PC, and in various editions.
