iFit is clearly becoming a big leader in wearable technology, and at CES 2015, the company had some very cool new products to show off. In addition to a slew of smart watches featuring iFit fitness tracking, the company’s teaming with Altra for the upcoming Halo running shoe was more exciting news. GamerFitnation’s Gregory Laporte spent a few minutes with iFit’s Chase Watterson discussing the new shoe and the benefits it will bring to runners worldwide. As with other iFit enabled products, the Halo will connect with a user’s smartphone, tablet or computer and allow them to keep track of their workout progress in a number of ways.

iFit Altra Halo CES 2015

While the Altra Halo won’t be available until this summer, those new to the fitness tracker phenomenon can pop on by iFit’s online shop and get started on the road to a better body. Altra’s reputation for excellent quality footwear should help rocket this tech-enabled shoe to solid sales once it’s finally released. Given the company’s penetration into the huge fitness market, from wearables to exercise equipment and more, it’s clear that iFit has a vision for the future of a healthier lifestyle for all.
